The Last Ninja - Rushed EP (8BITCD001)

The first official release by The Last Ninja, and the first for 8-Bit Recordings. The Last Ninja (Adam Clarke) and Boris Otterdam were the genesis of 8-Bit Recordings in 2000.
The two had met in the Perth indie rock scene in the late 90s and became friends. A love of the Digital Hardcore movement and the emerging breakcore scene, caused Adam to become inspired and begin producing his own music as "The Last Ninja".
In mid 2000 he bumped into Boris one day in the city and after showing him the music he'd made - inspired him also to want to make his own digital hardcore music.

After a few months of collaborating and experimenting with programs. They burnt a CDR of their own tracks and collaborations and gave it to a few friends. After much discussion and inspiration, researching the scene and discovering other producers online and seeing video of artists like EC80R producing and playing live from PCs. They became determined to contribute to this growing music scene themselves.

Fascinated with the concept of home digital music production on PCs and the endless possibilities that could come of it. They decided to start their own label and In November 2000 - Did just that.
Adam designed a logo of a computer chip and after a few name ideas they eventually christened it 8-Bit Recordings. The two decided it's primary focus should be PC program produced digital hardcore and adopted the battle cry "We Don't Have The Technology".

In August 2001, inspired by their first ever regular breakcore/digital hardcore night "VOID". The Last Ninja assembled the best of the last 12 month's production and put together a CD release to be launched at the first VOID.
50 copies were made and all subsequently sold out on the night of the launch. Now available for the first time in 13 years as a digital pay-as-you-like download.

All tracks constructed by The Last Ninja at Ninja Studios 2000-2001. "Gabba Will Destroy Your Brain" appears as a hidden track as it did in the original CD release. Originally released August 24th 2001.
