Pselodux's album "Spherix" has been a long time coming to general release on 8-Bit Recordings. Originally released as an uncatalogued CDR and given away at shows in 2002 under his old producer name "Modex". This is an album that we've tried to get wider exposure to for over a decade.

A concept of the experimental glitch and IDM influences prevalent in his work at the time married by jungle, breakcore, hip hop influenced breakbeats and simple analogue drum patterns.

The early examples of his now trademark melody arrangement and chiptune style rhythms are on display. Assembled from tracks that were once a staple of his mp3.com page and intermission noise pieces to bring it together and sound like an album that merges IDM and breakcore in a way that doesn't just ape Squarepusher or Venetian Snares like most breakcore releases then did.

Although most of the tracks don't fit into any of the aforementioned genres easily. Neither do the erratic bursts of noise or unforgiving static blasts that remind you of late naughties chiptune.
